In 2021 when we launched this new design of ughclub.us and moved our publicity and editorial efforts completely to the website I had the idea to recognize the top posts of the year and the writers that authored them.
Though we never were able to implement this idea (the end of the year is busy with holidays) I kept it on my mental file.
I’m happy to introduce now in 2024 the Top Post of the Year Recognition.
The rules are simple. The article posted within the calendar year with the most views will be recognized each year around mid December. Articles by the editor are not eligible. In addition the top post of the year won’t ever be an event listing or an update. There’s no “physical award,” but winners can expect a hearty handshake from the editor, and that year’s bragging rights.
These posts will now be added to a special category of record.
With that I’m proud to announce the top post for 2024, one that told a great story, gave a great tribute, and reminded many where we came from:
