Erzgebirge to hold New Turf Field Dedication Day
“In celebration of this major Club achievement, a dedication ceremony will be held on the fields at 1:00pm, followed by the United States playing Germany in a friendly match at 2:30pm (to be shown in the Ratskeller). This is open to all members. Please come out and attend this event.“

First German Sport Club Phoenix Celebrates 100 with Summerfest!

Our dance group will be performing at the Phoenix Sport Club for their Summerfest 100th Anniversary on June 6, 2026.
Cannstatter Releases new Bespoke 1873 Pils Beer
“The Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein is excited to announce the launch of our brand-new beer, Cannstatter Pils 1873, brewed in partnership with von C Brewing Co…This partnership carries special meaning, as both Von C Brewing Company and the Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein share a historic connection through Christian Schmidt and the legacy he helped build in Philadelphia. The founder of the famed Schmidt’s Brewery, Christian Schmidt was also one of the founding members of the Cannstatter in 1873. The owners of Von C Brewing are direct descendants of Christian Schmidt and sixth generation brewers.…”
Cannstatter has a large outdoor Biergarten in Northeast that is open every Friday (May to October) from 5:00 – 10:00 pm.
Delaware Saengerbund hires ‘Brotzeitmusi’ Band for Oktoberfest
Get Ready!! We have a new band for the 2026 Oktoberfest! September 18, 19, 20. They will be playing for us Friday Night, Saturday Night and Sunday Afternoon! Plan to come out and listen to the Brotzeitmusi!!!
The Delaware Saengerbund Oktoberfest takes place on September 18, 19, 20, 2026 on their grounds at 49 Salem Church Rd Newark, DE 19713-2933. This is the first appearance of the band Brotzeitmusi from Bavaria.
