Schuhplattlers receive letter following Phoenix Fest (from the Monthly Progress in 1978)

following IS A letter received from the Phoenix sport Club – OCTOBER 1978

Dear Mr. Weyershaeuser,

Just a few lines to let you and your young people know how much we appreciate the fact that they came to dance for us on our Phoenix Fest. Their dancing brought a lot of enjoyment to a lot of people and helped to make the affair the success it turned out to be.

More important than that, is, that that kind of cooperation and sharing between clubs does more to unite us than all the high flown rhetoric we hear at banquets and other important occasions. When that gesture is made by a group of attractive young people, it becomes even more significant. You, Mr. Weyershaeuser are to be applauded for your efforts.

So let me thank you all personally, as well as for the First German Sport Club Phoenix.

Very Sincerely Yours,
Louise Dietz
