Match Report – Women fall in Battle to HVAA on 9/29, by Steve Paul

Sunday’s match was a battle of two unbeaten teams from the USL of PA at HVAA.

Since we are quite familiar with each other we knew we were going into a battle. The game was pretty even for the first 25 minutes. In the 27th minute on a HVAA corner kick with the assistance of the wind they scored directly from a corner 1:0 HVAA. In the 30th minute we had a defensive lapse which in turn generated a breakaway which put us down 2:0 at halftime. Changing up our formation we battled pretty even for the entire second half until HVAA broke through for a third goal on the rush. As a spectator watching the game you would not guess that the game was a 3:0 game since the play was so even and a good game to watch. They are a good team which we have to work on to play at that level consistently. Game ended up 3:0 in favor of HVAA and dropped us to second place.

Next up on 10/6 Lower South at Temple Ambler at 10:00.
