2024-2025 Season Recap: Major Women, by Steve Paul

The Major Women finished off their first season in the Tri-County Women’s Soccer League which consists of 3 divisions with approximately 35 teams. We went into the season not knowing what to expect, then we requested to be placed in the top division along with 9 other teams and a few other teams from the United Soccer League of PA. With a solid roster and a number of new faces on the squad we competed in every game and put on a good challenge for every opponent we faced.

With our captains Erin Dolan and Michelle McFadden leading our squad they showed the leadership that you need week in and week out. New league and new season we finished the season in 3rd place out of 10 teams and building for better results for next season.

A special thank you to Michelle McFadden for the tireless work that she does behind the scenes with all of the manager duties and makes it very enjoyable to coach on game days. We have been very fortunate that players for the past few years have been reaching out to us for potential open spots on the roster. Just a reminder that Michelle started this team from scratch 9 seasons ago without one player and has built a very respectful squad year in and year out.

A special mention to our fan base as well, they consistently support us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 regardless of home or away games, just a very special, loyal fan base that the team is thankful for.

Until next season…

Respectfully,

Steve Paul

Head Coach

Michelle has also been sending information about the roster, player updates, and league information. All of this has been published here at ughclub.us and on social media. As the editor I appreciate Steve and Michelle’s commitment to submit information to be share with our membership and followers. I urge all the groups, members and officers of the United German Hungarians to follow the Paul-McFadden example. Send in your info on a regular basis and it will be shared with all!
