The United German Hungarians were approved for play in the Open Division Local Qualifying tournament for the 2022 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
Ninety – two amateur clubs have been approved for play in this competition with the first round of play set to begin on September 18 and 19. The schedule of matchups are expected to be released by US Soccer on August 25.
Additional entries from our local United Soccer League of Pennsylvania include the Ukrainian Nationals, and the Vereinigung Erzgebirge. Sixty – Six teams are from sixteen US Adult Soccer affiliated leagues.
German Hungarian teams have reached the finals of the US Open cup in 1977 and 1993 respectively.
