A great event was held recently that supported out soccer teams! Some of our players were asked to give us a few words about the event! Checkout the great writings below from our members:
With the hard work of the Women’s team and generous donations from many, 17 amazing baskets were won on Saturday night. These baskets included a wide variety of prizes ranging from: Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers tickets, a basket filled with all thing’s coffee, a night at Bury the Hatchet, a basket filled with everything you can imagine for self-care, a Wine Class for 20 people, and so much more. Due to the amazing turnout and eagerness to win these great baskets, approximately 1000 raffle tickets were sold. The highlight of the night was certainly the anticipation and excitement of the raffle numbers being called, and the winners’ celebrations as they claimed their prizes. We sincerely thank all those who donated baskets and entered our raffles for their tremendous support for our teams.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, the United German Hungarians Women’s and Men’s soccer team hosted their second annual beef and beer fundraiser. Nearly 150 people came out to Sharkey’s Grill & Ale House on Saturday, March 26th to support the clubs, enjoy cold beer, good food, and play their chance at one of the many raffle baskets up for grabs. The funds raised during the event will benefit both clubs and go towards league fees, uniforms, and general club expenses. The night was the unofficial kick-off to the Spring season. Both teams thank you for your continued support!

On March 26, the UGH Mens and Women’s Soccer Team held a Beef and Beer at Sharkey’s Grill & Ale House. It was incredible to see the turnout from both teams and the amazing support from family and friends. It was nice to get everyone together and seeing them have a great time, all while raising money for both soccer teams. With all of the hard work behind the scenes, we were able to offer 17 amazing raffle baskets for the guests to win. We want to thank everyone who came out and supported us, and to also all of those who donated.

This past Saturday night the women’s and men’s team hosted a soccer beef and beer at Sharkey’s bar in Philadelphia. This was the first year both teams joined forces to host the event and it was nothing less than energetic! The women’s team created raffle baskets and they were definitely a crowd pleaser! The baskets ranged from gift cards to sports themed baskets and more! Like many club events this one brought everyone together to celebrate our women’s and men’s team right before their spring seasons kick off! Thank you everyone who supported us this past weekend and we hope to see you on the sideline this spring!

After a hiatus due to COVID, we were able to have our annual Beef and Beer Fundraiser this past weekend. This year was at a new location, Sharkey’s Grill and Ale house in Philadelphia and was a joint fundraiser between the men and women’s major teams. There is always so much work that goes into these events in the back end, but it was more than worth it to see over 100 of the club’s supporters in one room after years of not being able to celebrate together. We were lucky enough to have gotten just under 20 raffle baskets donated by various businesses and individuals. As always, these baskets were a huge hit and helped add to the total fundraiser for the event. All in all, the beef and beer was a huge success and we look forward to bringing everyone together again next year!
