The women’s team moved into the Tri-County Women’s Soccer League this season. With a new league and six new players along with five new teams in the league whom we never played against; the excitement is very high.
Game one was versus a very familiar opponent, Danubia, our team came out strong with a very quick up-tempo pace which found us up 1:0 early then Danubia came back and tied the game with two minutes left in the first half.
German Hungarian Women dominated possession for the majority of the first half with numerous scoring chances and held Danubia to three chances. The second half started out very up tempo and we scored our second goal within the first five minutes. The half was very back and forth with U.G.H. dominating scoring chances and midway through the second half we scored our third goal. Danubia scored one late goal and we ended up with a positive result with the final being 3:2. The goal scorers for U.G.H. were Caroline Thompson, Alyssa Dionisio, Corrine Renninger with Steph Marino getting the win in net.
Don’t miss us against Colonial this Sunday, 9/22 at 10:00am at Temple Ambler.
