Match Report – Women put Lower South on Ice 6:0, by Steve Paul

With a familiar foe we knew that we would be in for a battle of local teams.

As the team goes so far this year we came out quickly with a few distance shots early with one being netted by Brandy Barrowcliff at the nine minute mark and again at the 15 minute mark. In the run of play with a few quick passes in the box Jasmine Bishop netted a far corner shot at the 30th minute which put the German Hungarians up 3:0 at halftime. Once again our squad came out quickly for the second half with Caroline Thompson nailing a beautiful shot in the far corner from the top of the box at the 48 minute mark. Lower South started to put pressure on us midway through the second half but keeper Cassidy Dawson kept working on her clean sheet with numerous save. Allysa Dionisio worked on getting on the score sheet with her relentless attack and she was awarded with two late goals at the 61 and 78 minute marks to close out the scoring with a 6:0 final score which gets our current record at 3 wins and 1 loss. Cassidy Dawson was awarded with the clean sheet shut out.

The team would also like to thank all of our fans that consistently attend our Sunday morning matches.

Next up we travel to Surge on 10/13 at West Chester East HS at 10:00 am.
