Another new team to play in a new league. We never saw this team before, so our expectations were cautious. Surge came out quickly on us and pressured our defense from the opening whistle and were rewarded a goal at the 8-minute mark off of a rebound. We played the worst 40 minutes of our season to start the first half. We came around late in the first half but just not enough to get that first goal. Halftime score was 0:1. The second half started pretty evenly for the first 25 and Surge got a second goal on a breakaway at the 27-minute mark of the second half. We pressured and struck the post four times in the second half but were not rewarded for our efforts. Tough loss but we always have next week.
