Writings about trips our club has taken to Europe over the years
The United German Hungarian Schuhplattlers and friends traveled to Germany and Participated in the “Bayerischer Lowe 2008”. The event was held on October 18th at the Heide Volen Gasthaus in Planegg, Munich. Hosted by the Isar Gau, our group placed 6th out of 16 groups.
The United German Hungarian Schuhplattlers and friends traveled to Germany and Participated in the “Bayerischer Lowe.” The event was held on October 4th the Gasthaus am Auwaldsee, Ingolstadt. Hosted by the Donau Gau, our group placed 5th out of 12 groups.
In 1973 the chartered Lufthansa flight of our members to Germany was delayed 2 and 1/2 hours. President Werner Fricker reported in September in the Progress, that the result was due to weather.
Nichole Deely reflects on the 2025 Welttreffen

In the summer of 2006, I had the opportunity to talk my husband, Bill, into attending the Landestreffen of the Verband Der Donauschwaben, USA.
If you did not know already, our club spent last September gallivanting through Europe to Germany and Austria. The smiles in photographs and the words spoken when they returned led the Publicity and Editorial committee to do something a little different when covering this trip.
