New to the Archive: The Jacoby Collection

Entertainment Review: Some organizations have a children's Christmas party just for their youngsters, and another or multiple parties for different sections of their club and those all can be nice. I'm happy, and lucky to say that the German Hungarians gather together for one Club Christmas Party where all are welcome, and we all know that our club is strongest when we are all together!

A Newcomer’s Perspective, by Mike Stirm II

I first encountered the United German Hungarians’ Cultural Group two years ago. I was sitting at a table with my family during Maifest at the Cannstatter. The group took the stage and began to do a partnered folk dance. I was struck by the grace of the dancers, the beauty of the music and the traditional dress. I felt pride for my German-Hungarian descent rise in me—and a desire to be part of what I was witnessing.

I read a book recently that many times made me stop and think, so much so that I wanted to pull out a red pen to underline and star the passages so I could save them for a rainy Saturday morning like today when creativity strikes.
