On Sunday, May Twenty-Seventh, Two Thousand Eighteen the United German Hungarians won their 3rd US National Donauschwaben Championship on home soil and took home for the first time the Mike Talan Wanderpokal.
The club won the Championship Final 1:0 over the stellar Milwaukee Sport Club side in a match plagued by rain! The United German Hungarians Major team finished the weekend with a 5-1-0 record. Word is after that their throats were a tad dry.
The club, who was also the host this year, has won this tournament in 1990, at the Philadelphia Donauschwaben, and in 2011 on the same field the winning match was played on this year.
The club’s Over-35 side also came out victorious taking the Division Championship over Cleveland Concordia with a record of 3-1-0.
