The 2023-2024 season has wrapped up, and the United German Hungarian women finished strong, ending fourth in the league with five wins, three draws, and six losses. We gained some new young faces and maintained a strong core of returning players. In true evidence of our team’s unselfish spirit (and our track record of draws this season) we have a three-way tie for leading goal scorers – Jasmine Bishop, Kaceyanne Cerankowski, and Kara Waskiewicz with four goals each and 12 other players notching at least one goal.
Overall, we had a solid season with some ups, downs, and transitions. From key players moving across country and returning, marriages, to the heartbeat of our team, Michelle McFadden adding yet another title to her cap in addition to Captain, Assistant coach, League Financial Secretary, Teacher, and Coach’s daughter —now mother! We’ll soon have another McFadden/Paul family member on the sidelines to support.
The U.G.H. women are excited to start the 2024-2025 season off strong as the group began to really mesh by the end of this season. Hoping for some shooting practice over the summer so we can score some goals!!! Big thanks to Steve Paul for his selfless and reliable presence at every game, we truly appreciate your time and support. Big thanks to U.G.H. as a whole for the support and backing year in and year out. More than 100 years, going strong!
Have a great summer, and see you all for 2024-2025!
