Anna Martini’s wedding on November 11, 2023, to Patrick Walls was a beautiful ceremony at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Hamilton Township NJ. The reception was at the Aurora Ballroom at the German American Society in Trenton NJ. A great time was had by all, and the Music was amazing as the Heimatklänge finished their trifecta of Martini weddings! The couple had a honeymoon in Key West Florida. Congratulations!
Allysa Reiter and John Ferrell got engaged on January 24, 2024, and bought a house two days later on the 26th!!! We wish them the best of luck in their new home and with the plan for a wedding in 2025.
Penelope Kristine Fricker was born on March 11, 2024at 9:14 pm. She was 8 pounds and 1 ounce and 20 inches long. Proud parent’s Michael and Allyssa and big brother Michael K are very happy with the addition to the family! The Schulz and Fricker families are very proud of the new addition!
John George Weber passed away suddenly on April 7, 2024. He was the father of John, Terry, Denise and Donna Weber who were members of our Cultural Group when they were children. Sincere condolences to the family who lost their mother, Teresa Mary Weber in April of 2023.
Kristen Reiter and Michael Snoha got engaged on May 15, 2023. Many families and friends attended an engagement party at the Reiter’s house on August 5, 2023 to wish them well. Kristen graduated from Temple University on May 9, 2024, in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic and Interactive Design. Congratulations and best of luck in the future to this great couple.
Michelle and John McFadden welcomed a baby girl to their family on May 9, 2024. Delanie Rae McFadden was born at 1:27 am and weighed 6 pounds and 13 ounces she was 20 ½ inches long. Congratulations to the family including grandparents, Steve and Christina Paul and Uncle Stephen.
Sofi Walter is expecting a baby in October of 2024. Sofi and Patty and big brother Erik are looking forward to the happy event! The Walter family is very excited for this addition to the family.
Emma Walter moved to a new apartment in May this year! We wish her well in her new abode!
Our condolences go out to the members of the Enzian Volkstanzgruppe and the Delaware Saengerbund on the passing of George Schweiger on May 29. George, who was survived by with his wife Helga was active over his life in the club and the dance group in Delaware . George and Helga are the grandparents (Oma & Opa) to our members Allyssa Schulz-Fricker and Morgan Schulz and the great grandparents to Michael K and Penelope.
A few of our members have been sick, injured or hospitalized lately. We hope Emily Fricker, Magda Paul, and Harry & Inge Tillmann are all on the mend and feel better soon.
Evan Hubert graduated from Roman Catholic High School. Evan is the son of John and Heather Hubert, and brother of Jakob and Jackson. A soccer player, Evan will attend Moravian University in the fall, where Bobby Wilkinson is Head Coach, Joe Veneziale is Assistant, and Paul Centofanti is Goalkeeper Coach. Good luck Evan!
Jason Rocha has been hired as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Thomas Jefferson University. He has been the assistant coach for the past five seasons with the Rams. Jason is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University, 2018. He played all four years of his collegiate soccer career at Philadelphia University/Thomas Jefferson University. Jason played with our Men’s Major team for the last several years. We congratulate him and wish him the best of luck!
