Meeting a familiar foe was expected to be an evenly matched match.
We started our quick attack with heavy pressure for the first 15 minutes with the German Hungarians dominating pressure but came away without a goal. Then 20 minutes into the game our left back came away with a serious injury with a potential dislocated knee cap which we hope has a quick recovery for a speedy return. Then 22 minutes in, our striker Allysa Dionisio had a heavy tackle and came away with a severely sprained ankle which left us with 11 quality players to see out the match. At the 24 minute mark the Ukrainians came away with a long distance goal that had our keeper Cassidy Dawson screened from the shot with some heavy sun glare. Six minutes later the hosts scored a second tally with practically a identical play which left us behind 2:0 at the half.
The second half was such an evenly matched game with possession being 50/50 equal chances with no scores in the half and our squad suffered their 3rd loss of the year but still sitting pretty good in the standing with two matches to play in the Fall season.
