Entertainment Review: We connect our own memories and feelings from a young age of our club, our friends, or our family. When we gather each year for the Kirchweihfest I hope each of us takes a moment to reflect on all of these traditions and on the symbols of them.
The atmosphere is also very unique. From hearing German music in the background, great competition, and our super fans always getting rowdy during games, it makes this weekend second to none. We can always count on our super fans to turn it into a “home game” for us.
As a player whose family has been part of U.G.H. for about 70 years, it is a great honor to play for the team and to play in competitions like the US National Donauschwaben tournament.
My goal as a player and now coach is to have the other team come off that field after a U.G.H. win and make a comment like, “Wow, that team is good. No way we could have beat that team.”
