President’s Address – Christmas 2021

Dear Members, Families and Friends,

It is the most wonderful time of the year. With Christmas upon us we eagerly await the celebration of the birth of Jesus and with this religious and cultural event comes rejoicing and reflection.

Christmas is so special whether we refer to it as a season or a holiday. We count down the days as we prepare the house, the lights, the tree, and those special ornaments; we prepare the cards to wish those near and far a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year; we bake favorite cookies and sweets using recipes that have been in the family for years, we purchase gifts fitting for those we love, we donate to those in need. We share food, drink, and gather with friends. With Christmas parties, the Nativity, the music, and that Christmas candle burning there is a special feeling that often triggers our emotions and can leave us feeling very good. With all of this excitement and the feeling of joy; we reminisce of Christmas past, live in the present and plan for the new year which we will soon ring in.

As the year comes to an end I reflect on my life; my family; my friends and of course my club. It has been a good year and we have a lot to be thankful for. It is each of you that contributes uniqueness, and this gift strengthens our culture giving our club its own unique personality. Reflecting on the good times and wonderful experiences makes me happy and leaves me feeling very satisfied. I am very grateful for all of you and the German Hungarians.

For the New Year, we will welcome new experiences, opportunities, and new members as I see our families continue to grow. Relationships will develop and strengthen, and it is important that we embrace all positive things that come our way in 2022.

On behalf of my husband, Sasha, and my entire family I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with health, happiness, and good fortune! May all your days be happy & bright!
