German Hungarians go Viral: Paloma Blanca

You can never plan what is going to capture an audience. We’ve had ourselves online with our website since 2001, on social media since about 2008. And we have a nice following, more than some other groups like ours and less than some others. We get compliments from time to time on that social media presence and I’m always saying, we have a team that works together on it.

So all of that said we had a post recently (which you can see above) that has gone viral.

As of this writing it’s been viewed on Instagram and Facebook combined over 5 million times!

This has never happened before. But for whatever reason (the Paloma Blanca backing track? The location in New York City at the Steuben Parade? Or maybe our jolly Alex, Sasha, and Danny? Perhaps it’s the genuine laugh and joy on the face of Joey Galgon in the background?) now it has.

As of this writing the video that’s only 16 seconds long has gained us over 4000 followers on Instagram, has been reposted 4853 times, shared 33,969 times, has over 1000 comments, and has 228,000 likes.

The amount of time the video has been watched in total adds up to over 1 years time:

Special thanks to Jenn Blank for directing and posting and to Alex, Sasha, Danny, and Joey for making us all smile.
