"Three large pavilions, dozens of canopies and tents, plenty of vendors, and food trucks filled the otherwise quiet farmland in northern Maryland. Fest season, some say, is the most wonderful time of the year. It includes German-American community festivals and Oktoberfests with public performances. There are national gatherings, Stiftungsfests, and picnics. This year features a grand opening of a retail store and, of course, our beloved Kirchweihfest!
Our dance group will be traveling to Maryland to perform again at the Augustoberfest on August 16 & 17 with Die Heimatklänge and Die Schlauberger!

When our club and our dance group partner with great bands like Die Schlauberger and our club favorite Heimatklänge it’s easy to see why we do what we do. Adding in the wonderful volunteers and welcoming hosts from festivals like the Augustoberfest is the cherry on top. The overall fun and hard work of weekends like this are why we do it.
