Mid-Atlantic Kinderfest โ€“ June 1, 2024 at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge

Gates open at 11:30am. Festivities begin 12:00pm. Each Kindergruppe is invited to perform an Ehrentanz. Kinderfest admission is free of charge for children. A complimentary lunch and drink will be provided for all participating children who are wearing their club Tracht. Admission for adults aged 18 and older will be $10.00 per person. Food and beverages will be available for purchase for adults and guest children. Maria & John will provide music in the afternoon.

Although the marketing team might stillย beย in offseason mode, the United League kicked off spring play a few weeks back and the German Hungarians started 2-0. Here's a recap of our 2 wins.ย 

Match Report – U.G.H. lose 1:0 to West Chester to end EPSA Open Cup Play, by Jason Karasow

(North Wales, PA) I wouldnโ€™t use the word disappointing, but probably say frustrating.ย  We knew West Chester would have a bulk of possession, so we decided to sit in a bit to help us stay organized and compact and to try and hit them on the counter. ย I think we had the right approach and the guys followed it perfectly. The goal in cups is to get the win and move on. It doesnโ€™t matter how you do it as long as you do it. Jose Mourinho would have been proud of the plan and its execution.

Match Report – German Hungarians 3:1 Erzgebirge on 2/18 (EPSA Open Cup)

This EPSA Open Cup "Pigtail" Match on 2/18/2024 was moved from3:30pm at the Ukrainian American Sports Center to 5pm at YSC due to weather. The final score was 3:1 in favor of our German Hungarians. Goals were scored by Koty Taylor (2) and Belal Mohamed.

Sometimes a year can fly by so quickly, before you know it it's almost over! With a little over two months left, however, we have lots of fun, informative and exciting affairs still in store for 2023.

Schedule – Dance Group 2023

Our group brings German folk dancing not only to the German American community, but to all our friends and neighbors regardless of ethnic background. We also attend and celebrate with local, regional, and national organizations of fellow dance groups and German-American Clubs & Societies.
