Cultural Group
Time goes by and now we find ourselves at Christmas Time, the most beautiful time of the year. We are very proud of our young people who participate in the Cultural Groups. The last performance of this year will be to present a Christmas Play entitled โWhen Joy Comes.โ We hope all members will come to our Christmas Party to enjoy the work of these young members. Santa will be there to bring some candy for all our children.
On Friday, October 1, 1976, the Schuhplattler Group presented a wonderful performance in Atlantic City at Haddon Hall for their Annual Oktoberfest. Thanks to all the drivers for helping out on this trip. Also, many thanks to John Caporaletti, Jr. and Haidy Kruger for playing the music for this occasion. The Schuhplattler Group did an outstanding job for this affair, as always. Thanks also to Ludwig Price for his narration of the dance.
On Sunday, October 24, the Junior Girls did an excellent job performing Hungarian dances for the Donauschwaben of Trenton at their Bicentennial Salute. A good time was had by all.
On Nov. 6, the Bogaroscher Kirchweih was a huge success. Sue Mueller, who won the Strauss at last yearโs affair, tendered a party for all the couples who participated this year before the Kirchweih. All the couples who attended would like to thank Sue and her parents for a nice party. Ernie Gehlert did an excellent job as โGeld Herr,โ since his enunciation of the words for the Kirchweih โSpruchโ was understood by everyone. A special thanks to Mrs. Barbara Lind, who donated the Strauss for this affair. Thank you also to Chris Roth, who donated a beautiful doll that was chanced off. The Strauss was won by Diane Caporaletti, a Bogaroscher and cousin of last yearโs winner, Sue.
We, the Cultural Group, would like to thank all the very patient parents and their grandparents, along with the dancers who participated this year, for a job well done. Speaking for the Cultural Committee, I would like to wish everyone a Joyous Holiday Season.
