There’s nothing like a crispy, golden brown schnitzel! It was Saturday night and Anthony and I decided to work together in the kitchen to make a hearty meal. We decided on schnitzel, fresh green beans, and roasted red potatoes.

I started with the breading production, while Anthony did the frying.

We prepped the green beans and the potatoes with a good vinyl record playing in the background!
For an easy but delicious hunter’s schnitzel sauce, we used the Maggi seasoning mix with fresh mushrooms.
You can purchase this packet on Amazon (https://a.co/d/5WN6vvl) but we got ours at World Market!
It turned out perfectly, and we definitely enjoyed this great meal!

Tip from a Somm:

“For schnitzel, consider pairing with a crisp, white wine like a German Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, or Pinot Grigio. If you prefer something bolder, a light-bodied red such as Pinot Noir will help to balance the richness of the mushroom sauce, making for a nice pairing. I chose some brut bubbles to go with mine. Enjoy!”
