Entertainment Review: Some organizations have a children's Christmas party just for their youngsters, and another or multiple parties for different sections of their club and those all can be nice. I'm happy, and lucky to say that the German Hungarians gather together for one Club Christmas Party where all are welcome, and we all know that our club is strongest when we are all together!
"Ei Vant to Eat your Paprikash!" October brings the true beginning of the flavors of the fall. The popular culture heads towards Halloween with ridiculous use of pumpkin as a flavor in everything and anything. But for German-Hungarians, we crave a fall flavor more savory, warming, and spiced in a much more peppy way.
We may be rivals on the soccer field, competing with Phoenix for the better goals, wins, and championships, but the wonderful thing about clubs like ours is that off the field we can truly say we are friends!
After our dancing was done, the folks at the DSB had a surprise! A few Hungarian wurst were left and they delivered those promptly to our hungry dancers at our tables.

When our club and our dance group partner with great bands like Die Schlauberger and our club favorite Heimatklänge it’s easy to see why we do what we do. Adding in the wonderful volunteers and welcoming hosts from festivals like the Augustoberfest is the cherry on top. The overall fun and hard work of weekends like this are why we do it.
Inflation is rampant despite what my neighbor would like us to believe.
